Sample Essay on Black Death
Sample Essay on Black DeathBlack Death is the name of a plague that went by other names such as Bubonic Plague, Cercopegia, and Septimia. These various names all describe a disease which was known by many different names throughout the world. The disease is one of the most contagious in the world and made it possible for people to live and work together.Because of the plague, the area's ability to survive and build could have been reduced or completely gone with no way to have stopped the disease and put up resistance. There were no hospitals to deal with this outbreak of the disease, no doctors to keep anyone from suffering the most at an early age. The location where the plague started was also perfect for the spread of the disease. The disease is a disease of the small intestine that basically moves along the large intestine. For the reason why the disease is still spreading in the present day, it was believed that the diseases may have begun in animals in China and then moved alon g the length of the river and soon to Europe. The location of the disease when it was first known, was probably the furthest place that it had spread into. The beginning stages of the disease were when it was confined to pigs and dogs. As the disease spread to the other places in the world, they would develop ways to kill the parasites in order to stop the plague from moving. This included killing the infected rodents, burrowing, killing the large animal life. The problem with the disease was that the disease caused the liver to get so full of parasites that they could not be expelled. This caused the body to produce excessive amounts of toxins. Eventually the toxicity caused the person to have the symptoms of the disease such as stomach pains, nausea, vomiting, fever, sweating, loss of appetite, and diarrhea. The way the disease was spread was through fleas. The disease spread to people through bites from the infected rodents and human hosts. Some people died as a result of having bit ten the animals but most people did not have this experience and survived because they were less likely to be bitten than other people.Because of the black death, the World Health Organization was formed. It was created to deal with the outbreak of disease that brought about so much death in the world and it is still to this day. Doctors worked together to try and control the spread of the disease.During the 20th century, the medical industry attempted to make sure that the patients of the disease got the best care they could. The medical industry tried to include both animal medicines and human medications in their treatments.
